Sixth Year Students take Part in Mini Chef Challange
Two of our Sixth Year Leaving Cert Applied students, Genene O'Connor and Jimmy Fisher took part in the Junior Chef Challenge in association with Tony Kieran Ltd., 13 Church st., & Avenue Rd.,Dundalk.
The event took place in the Hospitality suite of Dundalk Insitute of Technology.
Under the watchful eye of Celebrity Chef Jenny Bristow, students from a number of Dundalk schools prepared a two-course meal within a one and a half hour time limit.
Dishes were then judged by Ms. Bristow and the winning team was announced - St. Mary's College. The winning team received a Perpetual Cup and will host the Competition in 2012.
All the students were given a copy of Jenny's latest cookery book.
High praise was given to the standard of all schools involved and Genene and Jimmy were extremely proud of their achievement.
